The goal for the Solar Bulk Buy Program is simple, give homeowners access to affordable solar and battery solutions that saves residents money and creates energy resiliency in our community.
Over 450 residents have already joined the program, slashing their power bills, switching to clean solar energy and helping power a greener, more affordable future for Charles Sturt.
The City of Charles Sturt declared a climate emergency in December 2019
The City of Charles Sturt recognises its role in supporting residents, helping them to save money on their energy bills, while powering our community more sustainably.
By making cost effective renewable energy solutions available we will help the community navigate electricity price increases and cost of living challenges, while at the same time delivering against our net zero objectives.
The 2024 Solar Bulk Buy was a key step to start driving this transformation, offering more people than ever before the opportunity to adopt affordable solar power solutions for their energy needs.
We are proud that more than 450 residents decided to get a solar system installed during our 2024, 2025 and 2026 programs. It is a testament to residents’ commitment to building a more sustainable future for all of Charles Sturt.
