Organising solar power is often filled with technical jargon that few people actually understand, as well as pushy salespeople that aren’t thinking about your family’s needs.

ShineHub is different. We provide straightforward solar, battery and virtual power plant solutions that are better for the environment and better for your energy bills.

How does solar work?

Solar energy works by using solar panels to collect energy from the sun, inverters to convert the energy into what you use in your home, and batteries to store extra daytime solar energy for use at night. Properly designed, you will use your solar power during the day, battery power at night, and will only need the grid as a last resort. Many of our customers are powering over 80% of their energy from their solar and battery system, only using less than 20% of their energy from the grid.

There are a few different solar energy models that are commonly used. The first is the panels + solar inverter + battery inverter + battery model. Although this model is often required when you are adding a battery to an existing solar panel system, it’s usually not the best approach when designing a solar panel and battery system from scratch. When starting from scratch it’s best to use systems comprised of panels + hybrid inverters + batteries because they are more efficient, more cost-effective, and provide better protection during a blackout. There are plenty of pros and cons to consider so it’s worth doing your research.

How we offer quality across our range

At ShineHub, we offer panels from a range of providers, focusing on meeting industry standards in order to deliver a robust solution. Our customers & installers benefit from the following industry certifications within our suite of products:

Ranked Tier #1

Managed by the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Corporation, this ranking scale indicates financial stability which indicates if the company itself will be around in 25 years to honour any warranties and provide replacement parts.

Passed DNV-GL tests

A recognised testing and advisory service supporting the energy and renewables industry with classification, technical assurance, software and independent expert advisory.

High power production warranty

Achieving over the standard 80% figure given by most other providers. Most panels (including many at ShineHub HQ) have an 80% performance warranty, but some have higher than that.

We also require all our installers to have completed a specialised battery training course if they are fitting a battery for our customers. Our rigorous upfront engineering and post-installation quality assurance process ensures everything is completed in accordance with the manufacturers’ specifications. That means the proper wiring and safety fuses are put into place, and full energy monitoring is installed and configured so that the homeowner, installer, and our support team has 100% transparency on how everything is working.

Savings the right solar solution can offer you

We’re all about community-powered solar energy, and our goal is to make this dream simple by providing you with the easy processes, products and payment plans that you need to make it happen.

Did you know?

A typical home paying $500 a quarter on electricity now over the next 25 years will pay $88,000 to stay on the grid if power prices keep rising?

Why continue giving your money over to Big Energy when with a complete solar and battery system, you could get this same amount of energy for around $12,000 to $15,000? You’ll also be doing your part to help the environment, too.
