The 2025 Solar Bulk Buy yet again saw Marion residents come out in force to power their lives and community with solar.

Although the 2025 program has now closed, you can stay up to date on future offers and events by registering to be kept up to date below

What is the City of Marion Community Solar Savings Scheme?

Amidst rising power costs, access to cheaper and reliable energy is becoming more crucial than ever before. The goal for our Solar Bulk Buy Program is simple – give homeowners access to affordable solar and battery solutions that save residents money and create energy resiliency in our community. 


You will be helping Council deliver its vision of a climate-resilient and sustainable future through establishing a local renewable energy network that powers our community sustainably, and continues to create ongoing financial, community and environmental benefits to residents now and in the future. 

Packages include

Solar Panels

Solar panels generate power when the sun is shining, saving you money during the day.

Solar Batteries

Solar batteries store your extra daytime solar power so you can use it at night, saving up to 90% on your power bills.

Virtual Power Plant (VPP)

Connecting your battery to the VPP pays you a premium rate for excess battery power that helps keep the grid stable.
